Anthony Kingston, 57, of Roundwood Avenue, Bradford, has been jailed for 14 and a half years following the rape and sexual.assault of a 10 year old girl. The assault took place in 2021 in Burnley, Lancashire.
The offence came to light when the child victim bravely told staff at her primary school what Kingston had done to her.
Kingston originally denied any wrongdoing but was later charged with a number of offences and convicted on the 23rd of March, 2026, at Preston Crown Court, of rape, two sexual assaults on a child under 13 and causing a child to engage in sexual activity.
DC Carla Strang, from Burnley CID, said: “Anthony Kingston is a devious indivudual who isolated his victim, before committing abhorrent offences fir his own sordid sexual gratification”.
