England boss Thomas Tuchel played down concerns over England’s draw with Uruguay as the national team prepares for the upcomong World Cup in America .
The Three Lions are among the favourites to win the title but while they drew 1-1 at home to Uruguay at Wembley on Friday, the single England goal scrambled in by returning international exile, Ben White, France impressively beat Brazil, in a match-up between two of the tournament’s major contenders.

“I don’t know. You cannot compare, you saw our line up and opponent, it’s just March,” an unconcerned Tuchel said. “We’re happy with how we did our camp until now. I know it wasn’t the nicest watch on TV or as a spectator but I know who we played, maybe the best line-up of Uruguay with a lot of new guys on the pitch and we got a lot of things right.
“In most of the phases we got the things right we wanted to get right. We need these tests now to get to know each other better.
“We have time to be prepared. Do you think Brazil will not be prepared in June? I think they will. Once you arrive, you don’t think about March. We will be ready.”
England will play Japan on Tuesday.
